On August 31, 2024, Ola Sande entered retirement after being a central part of Storvik for more than 45 years. Ola began his career with us on May 1, 1979, at the age of 19. It didn’t take long before he climbed the ranks, becoming foreman and leader of what we at Storvik call “Smia” – our machining workshop. Under Ola’s leadership, Smia evolved in step with both technological advancements and the needs of our customers.
Some time ago, Stian Blåsberg took over as foreman, and the transition between Ola and Stian has been characterized by a very smooth and seamless handover. Although all of Ola’s valuable knowledge and experience cannot be fully “transferred,” it’s reassuring to know that he will still be available to us in the future.
Ola is now entering retirement with several small and large projects on his agenda, so he will definitely remain active in the years to come. We at Storvik want to express our deepest gratitude for Ola’s loyalty and dedication throughout all these years. Without his contribution, Storvik would not be where we are today. We wish Ola all the best in a busy and fulfilling retirement.
