FEM analysis and strength calculations
Storvik are capable of doing computer simulation, by means of the “Finite Element Method” (FEM), of both simple parts and complex assemblies and structures.
The FEM software ANSYS is used for advanced analysis, while the CAD system Inventor is used for more elementary simulations.
Typical simulations are:
- Mechanical stress and code check according to relevant Standards.
- Deformations
- Temperatures
- Thermal stress
- Thermal electric
We can analyze both linear and nonlinear problems, including plasticity, large deformation, nonlinear contact and transient (time varying) problems.
