Privacy Statement

Here you will find Storvik’s Privacy Statement that applies to the general data processing activities of all STORVIK Group companies in relation to personal data related to individuals outside our organization (external/third parties).

The customers, business partners and jobseekers are important to STORVIK and STORVIK is committed to protecting your privacy. Below we will explain how and why we process information about our customers and job applicants, and how the privacy is taken into consideration.

Personal information will only be used for those purposes which are factually justified in the business and personal data will be treated in accordance with the STORVIK’s guidelines for privacy.

The privacy statement applies to all companies in STORVIK Group (“STORVIK”).

1.       Responsible for Data Processing

When you apply for jobs or are a customer of STORVIK, it is the manager of the individual company in STORVIK Group who is responsible for your personal data.

STORVIK decides what personal data will be used to and will ensure that these are processed according to the rules in effect at all times.

2.      Storage of the Personal Data

STORVIK does not collect any personal information such as a birth date and social security number or personal payment card information.

Examples of information collected:

Company name

Contact person

Company address / billing address

Company phone number and contact e-mail address

Purchase history

History of correspondence between you and us in form of e-mails, letters, contracts.

STORVIK only collects information that jobseekers themselves provide to us. Jobseekers are encouraged to provide the following information: CV, diploma, cover letter, name, e-mail address, telephone number, work experience, education, competence, address, and there are these data STORVIK process.

3.      Purpose of Processing

We process the information in order to carry out our obligations under contract with you.

We also use the data to provide you with information, offers and services in connection with your purchase via email, telephone, SMS and post mailings.

When you apply for a job in STORVIK, the information that you provide is used to evaluate you as a candidate for the vacancy you have applied for.

4.      Basis of Processing

Your name, address, telephone, e-mail address information is used to fulfill our agreement with you as a customer. The basis of this processing is the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) Article 6 (b).

We also use the information to provide you with information, order confirmations, offers and service associated with your purchase/inquiry via email, phone and SMS. The basis of this treatment is the GDPR Article 6 (a). You may at any time refuse to receive such information from us.

As a job applicant, we use your information to inform you of how you are in the process. You may at any time refuse to receive such information from us.

5.      Collection of Personal Data

We store only the personal information you provided to our employees in connection with your purchase or job application.

6.      Cookies

When you visit our websites, no data about you are processed except to a limited extent through the use of what are known as “cookies”. Cookies are text files used to provide visitors to the site with the best possible experience and service. 7.      Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

STORVIK will not share, sell, transmit or otherwise disclose your personal information to others unless we are legally obliged to do so. In the case of sale abroad, we will in order to meet our obligations under our agreement to disclose the necessary information to our partners in international shipping. This is information such as company name, delivery address, size and weight, custom credit and the corresponding information.

8.      Rights and Deletion of Personal Data

It is important that the information we have about you is correct and up to date. If you find a mistake or want to see the personal data STORVIK has about you, we encourage you to contact us so that the information can be corrected. You can also contact us if you would like information to be deleted. Complains on the treatment inconsistent with the rules may be send to the data inspectorate.

Information received in connection with your purchase is stored in our active customer register for 3.5 years.

Information we shall maintain in accordance with Accounting Act, will be stored for up to 5 years, in accordance with the requirements of the law.

9.      Privacy Advisor

In STORVIK, the General Manager of each individual STORVIK company is responsible for the processing of personal data and who ensures that laws and regulations are followed.

10.   Information Security

STORVIK has established rules and practices for the protection of your personal data and privacy. We use as well technical as organizational safeguards to protect the stored personal data from unauthorized or illegal destruction or accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or access.
