Storvik has in the last years increased its supply of competitive products to other metal production industries such as the ferrosilicon, silica and silicon industry. This type of industry has several similarities with the aluminium industry, as well as the oil and gas industry. Storvik supplies products and services to plants and manufacturers in Norway and internationally. The company currently delivers, amongst other, moulds, scraper heads, rakes and other projects.
Storvik also provide EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) services to the international oil and gas market. In addition to the offices in Sunndalsøra and Iceland, Storvik has an office in Vestbase in Kristiansund, where the focus is to collaborate closely with the customers to develop the best solutions for their operations. Storvik is certified according to international standards, and the company is the preferred supplier to major international companies such as Aker Solutions and Saipem.
Storvik delivers steel structures and machines derived from their own design and engineering, in all dimensions and materials- from small 5 kilo components up to large 50 ton systems.
Storvik’s goods are predominantly developed through local engineering skills from the offices in Kristiansund and Sunndalsøra, combined with cost-effective fabrication from Norwegian and international partners.
In addition Storvik has for many years been an improvement partner for producers of hydropower, both to small power plants and large installations such as Statkraft’s Aura plants in Sunndalsøra.
Some examples of installations to small power plants are assembly of intake hatches, turbines, generators, main valves, cooling systems for turbines, hydraulic equipment and pipe systems.
Within Storvik’s supplier agreement the company offer periodic inspections, servicing and repairs, ongoing maintenance of parts (in our own workshop or on-site), replacement or repair of hydraulic components, as well as application of the two-component ceramic wear-resistant coating.
Storvik is a certified supplier to the hydropower industry through Sellihca.
