The Storvik Group (Storvik-Holding AS) has appointed Stein Kjartan Vik (43) as new CEO with effect from 1 July 2017. Former CEO and co-owner, Nils L. Sande, continues as Chairman of the Board.
The locomotive of the group, Storvik AS, previously hired Dag Sverre Sæsbøe in 2017 as new CEO. The appointment of Stein Kjartan Vik as new CEO of the group (Storvik-Holding AS) has no impact on the employment of Sæsbøe.
The Storvik Group has experienced significant growth in recent years, both organically and through acquisitions. Earlier this year, the Storvik Group adopted a new organizational model and Vik will have overall responsibility for implementing the organizational model going forward. An important part of this is to anchor the group’s strategy in its daily work to the best of the group’s customers, suppliers and employees.
Vik has more than 20 years of experience from various management positions, especially in the technology and oil industry. Vik says he is grateful for this opportunity and humble for the work the employees and owners of Storvik have put into developing the group to what it is today. Vik is looking forward to working with many talented employees and together developing the group’s businesses further. Central to the future development will be an increased focus on customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, continued growth and, not least, good profitability, without compromising the company’s high standards in HSE and ethics.
The Storvik Group is headquartered in Sunndal Municipality and has offices in Kristiansund, Mosjøen, Reykjavik, Krasnodar and Prague. The group currently has around 130 employees and has customers in Norway and Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Russia, Canada and the USA. The Group’s three main business areas are within project and engineering (EPCI), mechanical maintenance and repair work / services, castings and consumables primarily for the aluminum industry. The group has significant operations in the aluminium industry in addition to oil & gas, hydropower and other industries.
