Vivil-Lekene is a nationwide sports event for the developmentally disabled and is organized by Vivil IL. The games take place at the turn of the month May / June every year at Nadderud Stadium in Bærum. As many as 600 participants plus 250 companions from Alta in the north to Kristiansand in the south participate, which makes Vivil-Lekene one of the largest sports parades for the developmentally disabled in Norway. In recent years, we have also had visits from troops from Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Spain, Russia, and Sweden.
VIVIL IL has the following purpose: “The team’s purpose is, through cooperation and camaraderie, to promote sports in healthy forms, so that sports become a part of the physical, mental and social habilitation and a means of improving health.” A clear goal is to include children and young people who do not find offers and affiliations in other sports and leisure activities.
This goal is passed on to Vivil-Lekene. We will arrange a sports conference in a professional way that takes the participants seriously. The conditions will be arranged so that sports and physical activity become the framework for new friendships and that the weekend becomes a safe and wonderful experience.
