In a few weeks, players from the business community in Sunndal, led by Storvik, have collected NOK 865,000 for the realization of the project Vinnutrappa. Vinnutrappa is a project were sherpas from Nepal will build a mountain hiking trail and staircase next to Vinnufallet, Europe’s highest waterfall. We experience great commitment and willingness to contribute to building the Vinnutrappa, we are many who see the importance of and the importance of realizing this project. The actors focus on attractiveness in the region and see this as part of ensuring access to local skilled workers. We want to send a clear signal that we will contribute to realizing good projects that create synergies in the region, this will increase our competitiveness in the long term.
We are very happy that the politicians in Sunndal Municipality chose to continue their financial support for the project. We must now gather all good forces and together make sure that this ting project becomes a reality, this is important for our region and its inhabitants.
We who support the project are aware of our role as an actor in the local community, we want to give something back to the inhabitants of Sunndal Municipality. At the same time, we see that this will create ripple effects through increased tourism, increased local trade, which in turn leads to better offers for us as residents and increases the attractiveness of Sunndal. In short, increased visitor attractiveness will lead to increased estate attractiveness. This also creates greater tax revenues and better services in Sunndal Municipality. These are synergies in practice! says General Manager Dag Sverre Sæsbøe
