Health, safety and the environment (HSE) is one of the cornerstones of everything Storvik does. HSE is not a task that starts and ends with the individual project – it is a continuous effort. We have no one to lose, so the safety and security of our employees is our most important task.
In Storvik, we work continuously to maintain a good HSE culture. It requires involvement and anchoring throughout the organization. To achieve this, we have several measures and instruments that are used in the daily HSE work. Among other things, regular WOC (Walk, Observe Communicate), safety rounds and HSE meetings are carried out. We also use digital info screens and other digital media to exchange information.
We are completely dependent on the individual’s involvement by reporting undesirable conditions and incidents – the information from all our employees constitutes our area of expertise. We have a culture where reporting errors and omissions is seen as caring and not something that is negatively charged.
We focus on the root cause and associated corrective measures so that we reduce the risk of accidents occurring. No circumstances / events are too small to report. On the contrary, the reporting rate says something about how tight we are, and whether we are aware of risk factors in our everyday work. It is about disseminating knowledge and insight and building attitudes to be able to make good and safe choices for oneself and one’s colleagues.
In a hectic everyday life, no work task is so important that it should be at the expense of safety!
